ABOUT CHRISTINA CHANPlant Pigment Artist, Writer, and NaturalistHi, my name is Christina and I’m an artist, writer, and naturalist. Thank you for visiting my website! I make my own plant pigments from berries, leaves, flowers, roots, and paint with them. Most of the plants are harvested off the urban farm where I live. Otherwise, they are ethically sourced from the local mountains and neighborhood supermarkets! With deserts, alpine forests, oak woodlands, and ocean all within a day’s drive from my home base of Los Angeles, this diverse environment has inspired me to explore what colors are hidden within nature. When I’m not in nature, I'm traveling and dreaming of future stories in my tiny house. I also conduct nature walks and community herbal services. I volunteer and am part of the advisory board at The Urban Homestead, a city farm in Pasadena : http://urbanhomestead.org/ All images shown are my own work, unless otherwise attributed. |
